What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our website?

When registering and/or purchasing tickets on our site for an event, you may be asked to enter your name and/or other details to facilitate registration, and payment. 

Security

WHCHC is grateful for the generous donations that help us continue our mission of helping people and building community. WHCHC understands the importance of protecting your personal information. Giving a tax-deductible donation to WHCHC is processed and hosted  on an SSL Server. ?Any information you enter is encrypted. WHCHC also offers the use of PayPal to conduct online donation transactions. WHCHC does not store credit card information from these transactions.

When do we collect information?

We collect information from you when you fill out a donation form or enter information on our site. Our web server automatically recognizes but does not collect or use your IP address.

Also, WHCHC uses Google Analytics to gather statistical information about the use of our site. Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are small amounts of data sent to your browser and stored on your hard d rive, to see if you are a return visitor. We do not use cookies to collect any personal information from your computer.

How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect from you when you register, make a purchase, sign up for our newsletter, or use certain other site features in the following ways:

  • To quickly process your transactions.
  • To send periodic emails regarding your transaction, or other WHCHC activities.

How do we protect visitor information?

Our website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to our site as safe as possible. All sensitive credit information you  supply is  encrypted via  Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.  All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

Third party disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. We may only release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety. We do not include or offer third party products or services on our website.  We have not enabled Google AdSense on our site.

CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. How does our site handle do not track signals?
