Community ActivitiesSome of the major
activities that are planned and implemented through the Spanish Community
staff and volunteers are:
Roberto Clemente Little League
This league was started in 1993 with 45 Children on four teams. The purpose
was to provide an outlet for family unity through an organization that could provide
educational workshops, family activities and athletic competion for
children and their families. The league is for children ages 5 to
15 years old.
During the last season, the summer of 2006, we had
225 children and 13 teams with a waiting list
of over 65 children. The league is wholly dependent on volunteers,
community businesses and organizations for its funding.
Thanks to the ECCF-Summer Program and American
Consumer Credit Counseling for their support to the league. |
