| Employees from the Greater Lawrence Community Action
Council Inc. made a $5,500 donation to the National Community Action Foundation so the
national group can continue to lobby the federal government for money for programs like
Head Start, WIC, and Lead Poison Prevention. The money was collected during the
course of a year by about 300 employees and presented to the NCAF during the annual
conference held in Washington, D.C, earlier this month, and led by featured speaker Vice
President Al Gore. Pictured fro left are Bruce Marrell, president of the
Massachusetts Community Action Agency Directors Association; David Bradley, executive
director of the National Community Action Foundation in Washington, D.C., and Charles L.
LoPiano, assistant executive director of GLCAC Inc. |
