As the incoming Executive Director of GLCAC, I am honored to lead this wonderful organization, and I look forward to working with our many constituents and stakeholders. The overarching goal of the GLCAC Inc. is to strengthen the families of Greater Lawrence by helping them achieve self-sufficiency. We provide a helping hand in many areas to support families and alleviate the challenges that can jeopardize their stability.
Strengthening children and families is our priority. In the area of child wellbeing, we provide world-class early education and child care at subsidized rates equal to any private child care program, as well as child and parent nutrition programs, lead paint poisoning prevention and child abuse prevention programs. In the area of housing support, we manage the area’s weatherization and lead paint remediation programs and heating assistance for families and seniors and so much more.
GLCAC’s hardworking, committed staff strives every day to improve the lives of our neighbors in Lawrence and its surrounding communities. We are always seeking to maximize our impact and meet the new challenges facing families and seniors. In our work, we are grateful to our partners, including the federal, state and local government agencies, as well as the many dozens of fellow non-profits and businesses, which help us fulfill our mission.
