Child Abuse Prevention Forum

To emphasize that April is Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Exchange Club of Greater Newburyport is offering an evening of information and activities at the Firehouse Center for the Arts in Market Square on Tuesday, April 3, at 7 p.m.
The program will follow from 7 to 9 p.m. Speakers will include Bailey, Newburyport Mayor Donna Holaday, state Rep. Michael Costello, a representative from Essex County District Attorney Jonathan W. Blodgett's office, a representative from The Beacon Coalition and Susan Mitchell, program director of GLCAC’s Michael B. Christensen Community and Family Support Center in Lawrence, which was founded by and is financially supported by the Exchange Clubs of the Merrimack Valley, with families serviced from Lowell to Newburyport. Mitchell will make a presentation on strengthening the family.
