Head Start Wins STEM Awards
The GLCAC’s Head Start program recently won recognition for its innovation and leadership in teaching science, technology, engineering and mathematics to preschoolers.

Executive Director Evelyn Friedman has appointed Rosa Talero as Chief Operating Officer and Tracey Chalifour as the new Director of Development and Planning for the Greater Lawrence Community Action Council Inc. May is National Community Action Month, when we recognize the work of GLCAC and our fellow community action agencies across the country. Did you know that each year community action agencies help 20 million Americans achieve financial stability with programs like Head Start, weatherization and energy assistance? In 2012, the GLCAC helped 29,000 individuals.
