  1. Hundreds have lined up for applications at GLCAC, Inc. administrative offices at 350 Essex Street in Lawrence to register for the “Toys for Tots Program”. Thousands of Greater Lawrence youth will receive a toy thanks to the Marine Corps sponsored program.  Staff spent many hours collecting the needed information and verifying eligibility so that parents can receive a letter from the Marines telling them where to pick up their toys.
  1. Thanks to the generosity of Anton Cleaner s of Methuen and North Andover, the “Coats for Kids” Program has given new coats and jackets for not only infants and children but adults as well.  Anton’s has worked in conjunction with local community action program for several years on this very worthwhile endeavor.  Coats are collected, cleaned free of charge, and then distributed to needy families.
