From Route 495:
From Route 495 North, take
exit 45 – “Downtown Lawrence/Marston Street”.
This exist will bring you to the lower level of a double deck bridge.
Stay to the right at the end of the bridge and loop around onto Marston Street.
From Route 495 South, take
exit 45 -- “Downtown Lawrence/Marston Street”.
Follow the loop around onto Marston Street.
Follow Marston Street for
approximately ¾ of a mile.
Take a left onto Canal Street after Ralph Pill Electrical Company.
There is a sign there directing you to the Welcome to the
Lawrence Historic District.
Continue down the hill on
Canal Street.
At the first set of traffic lights, turn right onto Union Street.
At the next set of lights, turn left onto Essex Street.
Continue through three sets of lights.
The GLCAC, Inc. main entrance for 305 Essex Street
will be on the right hand side of the street, immediately after the third set of
lights.
(Entrances for the Riverway Early Learning Center and for Head
Start at the Common are at the rear of the building on Common Street.)
Free parking is available,
but limited, on Essex Street.
There are Parking Lots the two streets that run parallel to Essex Street.
For the Buckley Parking
Garage, continue past 305 Essex
Street for two blocks.
At the second set of lights, turn right onto Hampshire Street.
At the first set of lights, turn right onto Common Street.
Continue Common Street through one set of lights.
The Buckley Garage will be on your left.
The Garage is directly behind 305 Essex Street.
(You will be able to see the entrances to the Riverway and to Head
Start at the Commons.
There are also two parking
lots within easy walking distance of 305 Essex.
For these, continue past 305 Essex Street staying in the left-hand lane.
At the next set of lights, turn left onto Amesbury Street.
At the next set of lights turn left.
The entrance to the Claddagh Parking Lot will be on your immediate
left or
continue around the curve to the entrance to
Eidam’s Parking Lot
which is also on the left.
Parking fess are
approximately $0.75 to $1.00 per hour.
