The Commonwealth Care Health Insurance Program is administered locally by the GLCAC, Inc. Masshealth/Commonwealth Care Community Outreach Program. This program connects eligible Massachusetts residents with approved health insurance plans and helps them pay for health insurance coverage through the plans.
Participants join a health plan and find providers that meet their needs. A health plan works together with a certain group of providers, hospitals, and other health-care professionals to provide specific health-care services.
Commonwealth Care pays the total cost of health insurance for qualified individuals who have income at or below 100% FPL (Federal Poverty Level) and helps pay for the cost of insurance for other qualified individuals. Our enrollment staff at the GLCAC, Inc. Mass health Commonwealth Care Community Outreach Program are happy to assist with your application.
Assist individuals in the enrollment process, application assistance, and all follow up and health plan selection assistance.
Enrollment Liaison and Program Coordinator attend all Community Health Fairs and Events sponsoring a table for these events. At these tables, we hand out folders with informational pamphlets from the offices of EOHHS; UMASS Medicaid; NHP; Network Health Plan; BMC Health Plan; Fallon Community Health Plan; and the Health Connector. We also educate the community on the options of healthcare coverage and maintaining said health insurance coverage once enrolled.
