As an independent contractor, the GLCAC, Inc. provides the City of Lawrence with the management services for the City of Lawrence Lead-Abatement Program. The City of Lawrence Lead Abatement Program, since the 1980’s, has focused on decreasing the instances of lead poisoning among children by providing resources to homeowners to detect and remove hazardous lead paint from their homes. The goal of the program is to eliminate childhood lead poisoning by increasing the availability of affordable lead safe housing in the City.
