Supportive Services

The GLCPC program offers consultation services for Mental Health and Special Needs education. This service consists of classroom observations, as well as behavior management assistance to teachers and parents. Suggestions are offered to parents as well as staff members to help the child’s overall development.

Family Service, Inc, MSPCC and Dee Beach are contracted to offer mental health consultation services in Lawrence, Methuen, Andover and North Andover to centers and family child care providers. This year we will be adding Haverhill and Newburyport to our service list.

Family Services, Inc. offers the services of a licensed psychologist to work within the classroom and with parents to aid in behavior and family issues.

Family Services and MSPCC offer Mental Health Consultation services, staff training as well as social groups for children at the various centers in Lawrence, Methuen, Andover and North Andover using blended funding and insurance billing. A master’s level therapist visits the centers and works directly with the staff and the child on social and emotional issues. The goal is to insure that the child benefits and can remain in the program.

The Partnership has implemented a universal screening assessment that highlights children at risk for social and emotional issues thus allowing the staff and director to work with the child and the family prior to difficulties escalating. For services, we have instituted a universal referral form
