The School-Age Program serves children after-school and follows the school-year calendar. The children range in ages 6-11 (the 11^th birthday is their last day in the program) are picked up at Lawrence Public Schools and brought to the center by bus. The children attend the program full-time during all school vacation days/weeks and during the summer. The children participate in recreational and learning activities such as: Sports, Arts & Crafts, Drama, Music, Science, Literacy and Special Events. The children are encouraged to participate in community activities such as Girl Scouts, Nursing home Visits, and Fieldtrips that foster positive self image and a connection with the community.
