The Preschool Program services children ages 2.9 years to 5 years of age. The classrooms consist of a mixed age grouping of 3, 4, and 5 year old. All activities and scheduling are geared to the developmental needs and abilities of the child. The Preschool curriculum expands learning opportunities by offering developmentally appropriate activities that promote learning in all developmental domains. Interactions are incorporated through the use of the Creative Curriculum for Preschoolers. To supplement and support Language and Literacy, each classroom follows the Breakthrough to Literacy Program. The Woven Word Curriculum is used to support the social and emotional development of all children. All activities reflect the use and follow the MA Department of Education’s Preschool guidelines for learning experiences.
