LAWRENCE - More than $150,000 of state money will come to Lawrence to
provide mental health services for children and to help uninsured people
obtain coverage through Mass Health.
The money comes in two grants to the Greater Lawrence Community Action
Council. The state Early Education and Care Department granted $92,219 to
fund on-site mental health services in medical centers and child-care
providers over the next six months.
The Office of Health and Human Services granted $60,000 intended to
connect uninsured residents with the state's health care program.
Anyone interested in taking advantage of the new programs can call the
Greater Lawrence Community Action Council at 978-681-4900.
