On Wednesday, September 11,
Isabel Melendez of the Spanish Community Program addressed a group of 50 staff and
neighboring business persons at a memorial vigil to commemorate the events of last years
9/11. Ms. Diozzi of the Performing Arts Department was present with 25 fifth grade
students of the Oliver School who sang the National Anthem and God Bless America. The
gathering ended with a salute to the flag and a moment of silent prayer.
